The Muslim Student Association is pleased to be hosting CB's first ever Iftar on Thursday, March 20th.

An Iftar is the meal that breaks the fast after evening prayer during Ramadan and is often shared with family and friends.  

CB students are welcome to join the MSA after school for a movie. 

Starting at 5:45, family members and CB Staff are welcome to join us!

There will be two guest speakers and trivia activities with prizes, followed by the breaking of the fast, prayer, and the meal.

Tickets are $12 and are available through School Cash Online and will be on sale in the atrium on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week.

Our Speakers:

Sameer Zuberi MP is a Canadian politician who was elected to represent the federal riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard in the House of Commons of Canada in the 2019 Canadian federal election, sitting as a member of the Liberal Party.  He is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities, and he serves on the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International development.

Dr. Aisha Sherazi is a spiritual care worker at Merivale High School and sits on the Steering Committee for the OCDSB Spiritual Care for Secondary Schools program.
